What is WeLiveInBeijing?

1. What is WeLiveInBeijing all about?
   WeLiveInBeijing.com is a website where you can meet students, expats and locals in Beijing. When you join, you get your own profile where you can give others a presentation of yourself, share photos, talk with other members and much more.
2. Who can use WeLiveInBeijing?
   WeLiveInBeijing.com is made for Beijing people and are recommended to use for all who wants to talk with other people from Beijing. If you're not interested in Beijing, we recommend you to use Bloc.net which is the same site but more open for finding people from all over the world.
3. How do I make an account?
   You create an account from the front page. Remembere to fill in the information in the right order, starting on top to bottom.
4. What do Bloc.net have to do with WeLiveInBeijing?
   Bloc.net is our main community with users from all around the world. WeLiveInBeijing.com is the exact same website with the same users and content, but customized into a local community for Beijing, meaning you wont see people not living in Beijing by default. If you want to talk with people elsewhere, we recommend you to use bloc.net.s

Account

1. Is it ok to have more than one account on WeLiveInBeijing?
   Unless you got a split personality, there's no reason for you to have more than one account. Our policy is to have one account per person, this to ensure a high quality of the user experience and preventing fake profiles.
2. How do I change my username or other account settings?
   In the upright corner in your profile, you got a "Edit Profile" button. Click on this, and into the Account tab on top.

4. How do I delete my account?
   You can deactivate your account from the Edit - Account page. However, this only deactivates and hide the account. To permanently delete all content we store, send us an e-mail to post@bloc.no. This action cannot be reversed.
5. How do I change my account or profile settings?

6. Why did you delete my account?
   All users violating with the Terms of Use automatically gives us the right to delete or take whatever action required regarding the account. Examples includes spamming, hate speech, pornographic material etc. If the abuse was severe enough, we will delete and remove the account.

Privacy

1. Who can see my member profile?
   By default, all registered members of WeLiveInBeijing.com and Bloc.net will have access to your profile. However, you can block users and adjust privacy settings for Events, Groups, Galleries, Videos etc.
2. How can I block users from accessing my profile?
   You can block spesific users from seeing your profile. Click on Settings at top right of the site, then the Settings tab. However, this will only block the user from accessing your profile and contacting you, not hide the content you generate around the site.

Security

1. How do I protect my account and information?
   Use a strong password with at least 6 numbers and both small/big characters. Always sign out and never click remember my password when using a shared computer.
2. Somebody have taken control of my account. What do I do?
   Send a e-mail with the subject "Stolen Account" to post@bloc.no providing us with the information you got, and we'll do our best to help you out :-)

Groups and Events

1. How do I start a Group?

   By creating a free group on WLIB, you are creating a virtual home base in our community for your product, services or interests.

   Features: Photo gallery, video embedding, forum, guestbook, event page and news editor.

   Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create a group:

   1. Click Groups tab on the front page
   2. Click the green Create New Group button
   3. Complete all fields (name, tagline, description, etc.)
   4. Adjust modules (these determine the privacy settings of your group)
   5. Finalize by clicking green Create group button
   6. Select a photo to use for your group (file size limit: 4 MB)
   7. Invite your friends to join by selecting their names from the column on the left
2. How do I start an Event?

   By creating a free event on WLIB, you are spreading awareness about your activity. Our basic event page features a guest list and an event wall to help invite and monitor your attendees.

   Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create an event:

   1. Click Events tab on the front page
   2. Click the green Create New Event button
   3. Select event host (default setting is your user name; the group names for which you have admin status will also appear here)
   4. Complete all fields (name, tagline, description, etc.)
   5. Adjust modules (these determine the visibility of the event)
   6. Finalize by clicking green Finish button
   7. Select an Event photo (file size limit: 4 MB; vertical images look the best)
   8. Invite your friends to attend by selecting their names from the column on the left
