Community platform

Our communities are built on our Platform which we built on .NET 3.0/C# using WCF and Advance Distributed Caching on the Backend with MSSQL DB. Frontend uses Castle MonoRails MVC together with rich AJAX using Prototype, Scriptaculous and custom JS.

This platform is also available for third partys as SaaS (Software as a Service) and Software + Service (S+S). It is a generic platform, so it's not restricted to the community model we're running ourself. Interested in starting up your own community? Contact us now!

Bloc Community

The first version of this community was back in 2004 where it was strictly Norwegian - bloc.no. We focused on engaging people in their own environment, arranging different activities such as BBQ gatherings in the park, "Bloc Party's" on nightclubs and so on. As the traffic increased, we started developing a community platform in 2006. In early 2008, We launched a brand new version of Bloc, now both on English and Norwegian, called Bloc.net.

This is our newest project here in Beijing. Our target segment is mainly students and expats, but also english speaking chinese people are welcome.
